94 restaurants in the Portland area are participating in UNICEF's Tap Project, which helps provide safe drinking water to children around the world.  Beginning Sunday, March 16 through Saturday, March 22, customers at participating restaurants are invited to pay $1 for tap water, usually served free.  Last year, the Tap Project began in 300 New York restaurants, and this year it's spread nationwide.  For every dollar raised, a child will have access to clean drinking water for 40 days.  Fresh northwest tap water is something I take for granted daily, and this project is a wonderful opportunity to support safe water and sanitation.  Saucebox, clarklewis, Mother's Bistro and Bar, Le Pigeon, and the Veritable Quandry are just a few Portland restaurants partaking in Tap Project.  {Click here for a full list of restaurants}

PORTLAND, Ore.-- The second annual Flourish, a fashion fundraiser for Escuela Viva, will take place at the Mississippi Ballroom, April 10 at 6 p.m.  David Scott {whom i recently trusted to chop off my locks} and Heidi Cuthbert from JE Salon will help style the event.  Portland's ever-growing fashion scene continues to surprise and inspire.
