what does this mean for my love life?

A New York Times article, published Tuesday, claims that "sexual promiscuity is rampant throughout nature, and true faithfulness a fond fantasy."  Um.. what? According to Dr. David Barash, the only species known to be truly faithful is the Diplozoon paradoxum, a flatworm that lives in the gills of freshwater fish.  In any case, I love reader Charles Carrolls' response: "if mother nature intended us to be promiscuous, why did she also invent jealousy?"  I need answers.
